Counsellor Directory

This innovative membership service serves to promote business information about your counselling practice, specialized services and skills as well as the ability to upload a profile picture and business logo. With futurist trends heading towards a generation that seeks information online as well as a specific set of skills, knowledge and experience, the CPCA believes this directory will provide a competitive edge for marketing our member's counselling services across Canada to the public, insurance providers, EAP contractors and government for verification of your legitimacy. All members who are in "good standing" will be approved to list their contact information in the directory on an annual basis. It allows our members to login to their directory listing once it has been approved and make any changes to their contact information.

Description

I have a Master's level education in Counselling Psychology from City University, and have been registered with the Canadian Professional Counsellor's Association since 2019. My draw to counselling came through both witnessing and experiencing deep and desired personal change. How, when done with self-compassion and support, the ability to 'unhook' from past unhelpful experiences can positively support the ways people show up in all aspects of their lives, especially close relationships.

Are you feeling stuck, unhappy or unheard? Has your relationship ended or hit a roadblock? Are you managing a chronic illness or pain, or experiencing a sense of numbness, anger, grief or trouble with 'dating in the modern age'? I can help. I work with both individuals & couples to resolve challenges within their important relationships (work, friends, family, significant other/s) including the one with themselves. Because we are each a mix of past experiences and current circumstances, it can be difficult to really know our own voice; harder still to stand forward for that in ways that preserve what's most important to us.

Impoverished views of ourselves often steal our joy. Inviting curiosity, mindfulness practices & a large dose of self-compassion, I help people 're'-connect' with themselves, build on their strengths, & better understand the links between their physical, emotional & mental health in ways that decrease stress & increase connection & ease in their lives.

Curious? I invite you to reach out for a free 20 minute introductory phone call. Clinical Counselling sessions can be made available via Zoom, in person (Victoria BC area), or by phone. I look forward to hearing from you! Lisa.
